World Day of Prayer—March 2
“Let Justice Prevail” is the theme for this year’s ecumenical women’s World Day of Prayer celebrations. Resources highlight women in Malaysia, and are available through the World Day of Prayer USA Committee at www.wdp/usa.org. Attend a service in your community; if there are none planned, initiate plans to host one at your church. Join hearts and prayers with women around the world on Friday, March 2, 2012. In Luke’s Gospel, Jesus gives us an example of a relentless advocate for justice in the parable of the persistent widow and the unjust judge. As American Baptist women look at social justice please take a moment and say a prayer for the poor and oppressed people of Malaysia. “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they will be filled.”Please join me in prayer for all the oppressed women and be relentless in seeking justice for those who are unable to speak for themselves.
