October 31-November 11, 2017
AB Women’s Ministries and American Baptist Women in Ministry (ABWIM) are partnering to offer to Baptist and Muslim women in the U.S. a unique intercultural/interfaith spiritual pilgrimage in the Republic of Georgia on October 31-November 11, 2017. The Spiritual Pilgrimage will include up to 14 Baptist and Muslim women from the U.S. The purpose of the pilgrimage is to break barriers and build bridges between Christians and Muslims, generations, Georgians and Americans, and lay and ordained women.

Participants will experience homestays with Muslim families, reverent reflection in mosques and in 1,000-year-old Christian churches, a Eucharist service with the congregation at the Evangelical Baptist Church of Georgia’s Peace Cathedral, seminars to learn more about Christianity and Islam, respectful dialogue between Baptists and Muslims, advocacy for gender justice and religious rights, the stunning geography of Georgia’s mountains and vineyards, hiking, and the country’s renowned hospitality, cuisine, and folkdance.
